Your Question

How do you calculate my bill?

Electricity and gas are measured in units known as kilowatt hours (kWh). You're charged a price per unit. To calculate how many kilowatt hours of gas you have used in each bill period, take the number of gas units used (if you have an imperial meter, multiply the figure by 2.83), now multiply the gas units used by the calorific value (taken from your bill) and the correction factor (also taken from your bill), and then divide by 3.6.
