Can I set my direct debit payments at whatever level I like?
Our Direct Debit payment scheme is designed to spread the cost of your energy over 12 months and features regular quarterly reviews to ensure that your payment plan is on track. We calculate your direct debit payments based on your previous usage and review this figure every three months.
If customers were to set their own monthly payments lower than their ongoing usage, they would get into debt. By regularly reviewing accounts we aim to prevent customers getting into a situation where they can no longer afford the energy they use.
