Why do you change my Direct Debit payment amount more than once a year?

We review all Direct Debit accounts regularly to ensure that your payments remain in line with the amount of energy we’ve estimated that you will use over the year. This helps to avoid debt (or occasionally a large credit balance) building up on your account over the course of a year. If the amount of energy you use is likely to change, due to lifestyle factors such as being in or out of your property more or having a new heating system installed, please let us know. That way we can try to make try to make sure your monthly Direct Debit payment continues to reflect your energy use.
