How does the Feed in Tariff (FIT) work?
Customers who generate their own electricity through an accredited renewable low carbon technology are eligible to receive payment for every unit of electricity they generate.
In addition where the customer produces more electricity than they use, and export the excess back to the grid, they will be eligible to be paid for each unit exported.
